Microchip, the Future of Mesothelioma Diagnosis

mesothelioma1In a research paper published in the journal Nature Nanotechnology Canadian researchers, at the University of Toronto, believe they will be able to diagnosis Mesothelioma and other cancers in half an hour using a microchip. Mesothelioma is typically diagnosis through painful biopsies which can take weeks for results.

The new technologies will use a very small micro chip and be able to diagnosis Mesothelioma from a urine sample. Mesothelioma, a deadly form of cancer caused by asbestos, responds more effectively to treatment in the early stages of the disease. The new form of diagnosis could be revolutionary in the treatment of Mesothelioma.
