September 26 is Mesothelioma awareness day. The Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation started Mesothelioma Awareness Day in 2005 by contacting a few radio stations to spread the news about this life ending cancer. This year promises to be the largest with many cities around the country issuing proclamations with radio stations and newspaper coverage. Mesothelioma day hopes to educate Americans and Mesothelioma sufferers about the many new treatments, services and support groups around the country. Warren Zevon, who died from Mesothelioma, sang his most famous song “Werewolf in London”. Little did he know that Mesothelioma may very well have been his Werewolf? Tune in and support Mesothelioma victims on September 26.
