Tour buses are a common sight on our roadways, ferrying patrons to casinos, sports teams to events, and sightseers to landmarks. Safety of the bus tour company is a top priority. I have handled tour bus cases for the injured victims. In one case the tour bus company stole the DOT number and insurance papers from another bus company. There was no insurance on the negligent bus to pay the injured victims.
You can access government records and check out the motor carrier’s compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Look at the age of the fleet of buses and vehicles used by the company. Latest is better. Ask questions. Check out the driver of your tour bus. I suggest that organizations that hire tour bus companies have their attorney do a due diligence inquiry for the safety and adequate insurance.
