Indiana Chopper Crash Comes on the Heels of Louisiana Tragedy

Just one day after a helicopter crash took the lives of eight men and left one survivor in critical condition, ten miles south of Morgan City Louisiana, another crash was reported in Tippecanoe County, Ind., on Monday. The cause of this crash was a problem with the motor of the helicopter, as reported by the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s office.

The cause of the Louisiana crash is still not known and could take up to ten months to complete a full investigation by the NTSB. No information is known about the cause of Sunday’s crash; however, the NTSB has recovered the flight data recorders which may help reveal the cause of the tragedy. Accidents such as these take meticulous study and investigation to determine a cause and give some type of piece of mind and closure to the grieving family and friends. The Louisiana crash will be even more difficult because the impact zone was in a remote location in the middle of the marsh.
